Frequently Asked Questions
"Yay! You have received your Glam Seamless Color Ring - the best thing to do is go outside! Sunlight is the best lighting for the most accurate color matching. Indoor lighting - whether fluorescent or LED can often lead to an inaccurate understanding of color.
You want to color match to the ends of your hair, this is where the extensions are going to live. Hair - even virgin hair - has various tones and most often your roots will be darker than your ends. Since your extensions will live past your own ends its most important that the color you match to is your ends. This is true for all extension options from tape ins to clips and even the halo, for the most part, your roots will color the top 2 inches of the weft.
All of our hair colors are made with multi-tonal adapting coloring technology - very minute variances in each color allow a shade to match within a range. It is best to purchase two different shades and blend them in this way when it is all installed it will be your perfect custom tone."
"Sometimes it's best to grab a friend and get a second pair of eyes. Most often customers will match to multiple shades and have to pick just one set of clips or halo (for tape ins - its best to mix and match!).
Consider which shade matches your ends best. It's possible that we do carry a multitonal extension that matches you best.

"If you have highlights, an ombré or even a balayage you can still use the solid color ring to color match. All of our extensions are made to match back to the Glam Seamless Color Ring. All of the individual swatches on the color ring have a stamped numerical value or name on the pink tab. This is how you reference that color.
For example, if you were interested in a highlighted clip in set you would reference the numbers next to the displayed name.
E.G: Caramelt Highlights (3/12)
You will find that next to the name of the color on site will be a number in parenthesis - for multitonal shades, there will be various numbers separated by a backwards slash. This means that those colors are the colors used in this multitonal shade and they will refer back the color ring.
In the above example, the Caramelt color includes our solid Chocolate Brown #3 and our Dirty Blonde #12 shade. As such, you would pull the swatches for #3 and #12 and see if it would be a close enough match to your own highlight/lowlight.
If the name of the color does not include numerical values please reach out to our Customer Care Team and they will be more than happy to assist you! "
